Mix & Mingle 2025
Meals on Wheels of NEPA is delighted to announce our signature fundraiser, the 2025 Mix and Mingle for Meals on Wheels, taking place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA.
This festive evening will feature the picturesque setting of Glen Oak, an open bar, light dinner fare, a gift basket raffle, and live jazz by the Mark Montella Trio. All proceeds from the event directly support our mission-driven community programs, which make a meaningful—and often lifesaving—impact on older adults across Northeastern Pennsylvania. Meals on Wheels of NEPA is committed to providing nourishment and holistic support to older adults and individuals with disabilities, while working with community partners to foster connection, advocacy, and independent living.

At this year’s Mix and Mingle, we are proud to present the Annual Founder’s Award for Philanthropy to John Basalyga. Under his leadership, JBAS Realty has actively enhanced the community of Lackawanna County, while supporting non-profit organizations selflessly.
We will also recognize Christine Zike, President of the Philharmonic League, and Development Director of The Philharmonic Society of NEPA, with the Annual Elaine F. Shepard Award for Exceptional Volunteerism. Christine is an exemplary model of community stewardship, leadership, and service.
