
Meals on Wheels of NEPA is proud to congratulate our Executive Director Lindsey Skripka on receiving the Jack T. Harte Award from the Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
This award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to protecting and advocating for vulnerable members of our community. We are grateful for Lindsey's leadership and commitment to our mission of serving those in need throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community during NEPA Gives, Meals on Wheels of NEPA raised more than $20,000. These funds will help provide approx. 3,300 nutritious meals to vulnerable members of our community. We are deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this campaign a success. Together, you're helping ensure our neighbors receive the nourishment and support they need.

The Moses Taylor Foundation awarded Meals on Wheels of NEPA grant funding to support the purchase of three NEW Toyota Rav-4 Hybrid vehicles. Toyota of Scranton supported the project and sponsored the graphic designs of the new vehicles. The new vehicles are money-saving, eco-friendly, and safer options.

The Waverly Country Club hosted a Kentucky Derby party benefitting Meals on Wheels of NEPA on May 4, 2024. Attendees enjoyed an open bar, delicious food, and live entertainment. Party-goers sipped on fresh mint juleps and watched the Run for the Roses on the big screen! Ticket sales were sold out. Thank you to the Waverly Country Club for a great event which raised $4,000 for Meals on Wheels of NEPA!

Meals on Wheels of NEPA raised a record-breaking $10,681 during NEPA Gives, the region's largest day of giving. The Meals on Wheels team participated in numerous community engagements to promote the event.
